About the role

  • Executes and manages in accordance with global standards: Supports the implementation of the supply chain strategy within the country and region

  • Increases efficiency and productivity of warehouse operations and improves the accuracy of procurement activities by making optimal use of available tools
  • Responsible for operational management and performance of third-party logistics providers, including material storage, transport booking and execution, safe working practices and invoice validation
  • Collaborates with the Source to Pay team on commercial opportunities and issues
  • Works with the global logistics team to execute the Global Transport Plan, ensuring products are moved appropriately to meet demand
  • Leads a team of procurement professionals responsible for sourcing the products and services required for the effective operation of the managed business
  • Coaches the team on all internal audit processes and procedures
  • Manages the team’s performance against the supply chain strategy while developing individuals through talent succession planning
  • Participates in the analysis and implementation of Breakaway/Transformation initiatives as well as other continuous improvement activities affecting shipping procedures and logistics processes (supply chain optimization)
  • Promotes best practices; monitors non-conformance findings, leads problem resolution and fosters continuous improvement

Requirements

  • University degree (Bachelor’s) from an accredited institution in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation or a business-related field (e.g., Engineering)
  • At least 10 years of experience in supply chain
  • Practical knowledge of transportation regulations and warehouse operations
  • Bilingual in English and French (to work with team members outside Quebec)
  • Familiarity with SAP applications for transportation, warehousing and inventory management
  • Proven ability to influence and manage processes involving multiple stakeholder groups
