Develop, implement, and manage a system-wide Workplace Violence Prevention (WPVP) program in compliance with federal and state regulations
Lead development, integration, and regular review of organizational policies, reporting protocols, response workflows, and emergency procedures
Plan and lead routine, data-informed risk assessments across diverse clinical and non-clinical environments
Direct responses to incidents of workplace violence, including triage, multidisciplinary investigations, follow-up interventions, and documentation
Collaborate with Public Safety, Nursing, Legal, HR, Behavioral Health, labor unions, and other stakeholders to manage high-risk or escalating situations
Serve as the primary organizational liaison for all WPVP efforts and build strategic relationships with operational leaders, union representatives, ERGs, and external partners
Oversee system-wide implementation of workplace violence prevention training, supervise the Injury Prevention Specialist Trainer, and manage training records and learning management systems
Maintain secure, confidential records to support trend analysis and compliance
Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the workplace violence committee and communicate program goals, policies, metrics, and results
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in related field (e.g., social work, behavioral health, psychology)
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in WPVP, or workplace health and safety programs, preferably in a healthcare or high-risk environment
Experience in program management and implementation
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and supporting efforts involving sensitive, confidential, or trauma-related subject matter
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows operating systems
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and records
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage deadlines, and work independently
Flexible and adaptable; able to respond effectively to changing priorities and emerging needs
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional correspondence and formatting
(Preferred) Master’s degree or clinical background (e.g., social work, behavioral health, psychology)
(Preferred) Familiarity with healthcare-specific regulatory environments (local, state, and federal)
(Preferred) Experience working in or with mental health or behavioral health environments
(Preferred) Experience in crisis de-escalation or threat assessment
