About the role

  • Acts as Meeting Host primary contact onsite at each event.
  • Works hand in hand with service partners who support and ensure appropriate execution and service delivery in each area - catering, audio/ video production, security, transportation.
  • Day-of event support includes being on-call and/or onsite during events, running product demos (or training a qualified person to do so), and event documentation (surveys, photos, etc.).
  • May conduct staff meetings, event space walk-throughs, and briefings.
  • Assists in problem solving and providing additional staff when needed.
  • Confirms crisis management communication plan is in place and implements crisis management procedures, as needed.
  • Manages all onsite logistics within assigned areas of focus: airport & transportation, registration, rooms, hospitality desk, food & beverage, activities, business meetings, technology and executive/VIP handling.
  • Provides guidance and is consultative to clients and guests.
  • Acts as liaison to client for onsite event logistics.
  • Debriefs with event team regularly to ensure all parties are in agreement and informed of event logistical changes.
  • Ensures all parties are kept informed and knowledgeable around expectations, onsite changes to deliverables and current scope.
  • Collaborates with teams to define solutions ensuring the best event experiences for clients and guests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the meeting/event or related industry required.
  • Experience leading a team preferred.
  • Aptitude to learn new technology solutions and work with multiple systems required.
  • Ability to thrive in an agile, continuously changing environment.
  • Professional communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of G Suite products, Microsoft Office tools & ability to learn new technology quickly.
  • Must be able to handle physical demands of the position which may include but are not limited to: extensive standing, lifting, etc.
