About the role
- Build and lead a new Power Generation business unit
- Launch and scale the business unit, driving business development with owners, developers, EPC partners, and strategic allies for new-build opportunities
- Recruit and develop high-performing subject matter expert (SME) teams
- Establish the Power Generation business unit strategy, service offerings, and go-to-market plan focused on new build and expansion opportunities
- Define the operating model such as organizational structure and internal processes
- Lead market outreach and relationship development for new opportunities
- Own and grow a qualified pipeline
- Drive proposal development, scope definition, and commercial strategy
- Represent Orbital at key industry meetings and conferences
- Recruit, mentor, and retain SMEs across relevant disciplines
- Provide oversight and executive leadership for power generation projects
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Significant experience leading power generation pursuits and/or executing power generation projects (new build, major upgrades, or owner’s engineering/EPC support)
- Demonstrated success developing and maintaining executive-level client relationships
- Proven leadership experience building teams and scaling capabilities
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong business acumen/customer relationship management skills
