About the role
- Drive safe, efficient, timely, and cost-effective execution of the full business Capital Portfolio in a way that delivers advantaged assets
- Serve as the most knowledgeable and articulate spokespersons of business drivers and execution capabilities for the Capital Portfolio
- Drive PMO best practices through Sr. Project Managers and plant Capital Managers; measure project performance and compliance with engineering standards
- Ensure that innovative project delivery approaches (offshore engineering, modular construction, etc.) are applied to ensure competitive advantage through capital efficiency and the lowest total cost of ownership for all new assets
- Integrate process, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines into our project teams in a way that ensures innovative scopes are encouraged
- Embed the twin cultures of Process Safety and Capital Efficiency in our delivery of capital projects
- Document design and installation standards for various PS-Alphagary product families
- Establish an effective Asset Integrity/Reliability function within PS-Alphagary based on international best practices
- Work with the Global Operations Director to establish a culture of reliability-centered maintenance and capital planning
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- PMI Certification or equivalent required
- Master of Business Administration or equivalent preferred
- 15+ years of industrial experience
- Extensive experience managing capital projects >$10M (owner side)
- Experience in a leadership role within a chemical manufacturing facility
- Excellent English required
- Working capability in Spanish preferred
- Front-End Loading (FEL) implementation tools
- Modularization
