About the role
- Supervising and evaluating the enrollment supervisors and program supervisors;
- Developing plans and strategies to maximize enrollment;
- Providing guidance and leadership in the training and evaluation of department staff as it relates to enrollment, data quality, record keeping, and organization policies and procedures;
- Communicating department needs and areas requiring improvement to the senior director of voucher programs;
- Maintaining knowledge of and following Child Care and Development Division regulations and contract requirements, funding terms, and conditions, Title V regulations, Community Care Licensing regulations, and applicable California State law;
- Representing the organization at meetings in the community;
- Accurately complete all assigned enrollment services reports on a timely basis, according to organization policies and procedures;
- Coordinating and managing all general office functions for the Voucher Program;
- Participating in management meetings;
- Maintaining rapport with parents, child care providers, and community partners, serving as the second level of administration regarding questions about enrollment;
- Reading and implementing all organization and program policies and procedures;
- Assisting the senior director of voucher programs as needed;
- Attending training as required;
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
- Three years of management experience in a child development or social service program setting, or in a related industry
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate and influence
- Strong attention to detail, effective time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to independently identify problems, needs, and opportunities for improvements and develop and implement action plans or solutions
- Ability to work well with people, with sensitivity to the needs of children and families
- Ability to correctly and effectively communicate in written and oral English
- Strong computer and data analytic skills, with proficiencies in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.)
- Successful background screening
- Passion for the mission and goals of the organization, with a commitment to providing quality care and education to children and families in need
- Five years of experience in Options for Learning’s Voucher Program and subsidy contracts (preferred)
- Command of Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Vietnamese (preferred)
- A California driver’s license, daily use of an automobile, and automobile liability insurance (preferred).
