About the role
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Assisting the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources and services on platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolution to ensure optimal performance and availability of cloud-based applications and services.
- Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management tasks, using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or PowerShell.
- Security and Compliance: Assist in implementing and enforcing security best practices, compliance policies, and access controls to protect cloud environments and data from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery: Assist in designing and implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure the integrity and availability of critical data and applications in the event of system failures or disasters.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Generate regular reports on system performance, capacity, and security compliance.
- Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and network engineers, to support cloud-based applications and services. Provide technical support and assistance to resolve issues and address user inquiries.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in cloud computing. Participate in training programs and pursue certifications to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Database administration: Install, configure, and maintain database software and related technologies. Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability. Design and implement backup and recovery solutions to protect the integrity of data. Troubleshoot database-related issues and perform root cause analysis.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in a related role in IT, with a focus on cloud computing.
- Experience in roles such as system administration, network engineering, or software development is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- A solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, architecture, and services, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
- Proficiency in one or more cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or other major cloud providers.
- Familiarity with core cloud services such as compute, storage, networking, databases, and security, as well as advanced services like serverless computing, containers, and machine learning.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, understanding of virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, security groups, and VPNs.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with CI/CD, version control systems (e.g., Git), and automated testing.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services, as well as identify opportunities for optimization and performance improvement.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer, or CompTIA Cloud+.
