About the role

  • Lead consumer product marketing for ChatGPT’s evolving experience, shaping how new capabilities help the product feel more personal, proactive, and intuitive.
  • Partner deeply with Product, Research, and Engineering to influence roadmap priorities through user insight, narrative clarity, and market context.
  • Translate complex innovation into simple, compelling value propositions that resonate with a broad global consumer audience.
  • Own go-to-market strategy for new ChatGPT features and experiences—from positioning and messaging to launch execution and post-launch optimization.
  • Develop hypotheses around user needs and behaviors; define success metrics, learning agendas, and feedback loops to inform iteration.
  • Work hands-on to create launch plans, messaging frameworks, in-product narratives, and enablement materials.
  • Collaborate with Data Science to assess impact, measure adoption, and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with Legal and Privacy to ensure launches are responsible, compliant, and aligned with user trust.
  • Serve as a foundational leader for this space, helping define operating models and setting the groundwork to build a team over time.

Requirements

  • Have deep experience in consumer product marketing, especially in fast-moving, 0→1 or highly ambiguous environments.
  • Are excited to be highly hands-on and close to the work, with the appetite to help build structure and teams over time.
  • Bring strong intuition for consumer behavior paired with a data-driven mindset for experimentation and learning.
  • Have experience shaping product narratives for innovative, technically complex products.
  • Excel at partnering cross-functionally and influencing without authority.
  • Care deeply about user trust, clarity, and delivering real value at scale.
