About the role

  • Lead the Configuration and Change Management team within Engineering
  • Oversee a group of eight professionals responsible for managing engineering data, documentation, and change control
  • Own the Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) processes
  • Maintain product configuration data within Windchill
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring seamless communication and continual improvement

Requirements

  • Experience in configuration and change management within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Deep understanding of change control processes and standards (EIA-649, GEIA-HB-649, or MIL-STD-973)
  • Proven experience leading a team, setting KPIs, and driving performance
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, Bills of Materials, and control documents with a high level of accuracy
  • Familiarity with PLM tools (ideally Windchill) and ERP systems
  • Confidence working cross-functionally and managing complex technical data
  • A HNC/HND or higher qualification in an engineering discipline is preferred
  • A CM2 qualification would be an advantage
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, continuous improvement mindset.
