About the role
- Oversee the management of the direct suppliers' relationship for day-to-day events.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure excellent and reliable sources of supply and information.
- Partner with Plan & Procurement functions to ensure demand alignment to meet and exceed Ethicon Endo reliability goals.
- Drive Performance Management for Ethicon Endo by means of establishing Key Performance Indicators and Supplier Business Reviews/Sales and Operating Process (cS&OPs).
- Lead the operational resolution of emerging supply issues across the Material Supplier Management (MSM) network.
- Identify non-compliance suppliers and work jointly with Strategic Sourcing, External Manufacturing, Quality, Make and LCM to correct or exit if needed.
- Drive improvements in material reliability, customer fulfillment, supplier delivery performance, and responsiveness.
- Identify key process improvements for key Internal and External manufacturing sites regarding communication process on disruptions.
- Identify Proactive Risks mitigations with suppliers, escalate and plan for mitigation in a combined effort with Value Stream Leaders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 12 years relevant experience in Plan, Source, Supplier Quality, Operations, Logistics/Supply Chain or technical role within a high volume-manufacturing environment required (medical industry preferred).
- Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field.
- Strong project management skills are a plus.
- Insight into End-to-End supply chain characteristics and understanding of financial processes such as business case development, P&L calculation and COGS is preferred.
- Knowledge of specific business practices and software and software applications.
- Experience with MRP systems, such as SAP, is highly desired.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse supplier base
- Ability to work cooperatively with other cross functions and lead without authority.
- Ability to perform duties in accordance with policies and procedures and in to comply civil rights requirements.
