About the role
- Is responsible for the adjustments/setup of the manufacturing equipment and their corresponding documentation.
- Provides support to manufacturing for the timely repair of equipment and machinery.
- Performs corrective and emergency nonplanned maintenance activities according to the approved methods and documentation.
- Participates in the transfer of new production lines.
- Assemble plastic and metal components into medical devices in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures.
- Perform in-process quality checks on subassemblies and finished product.
- Utilize small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and test fixtures.
- Participate in line meetings as needed.
- Work with engineers and technicians to resolve line issues and suggest improvements.
- Maintain clean room integrity by using proper attire and adherence to lab environment practice and procedures.
- Fully understands and maintains accurate records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, labor (e.g., timecards), and special projects.
- Apply workstation practices and line clearance in daily activities.
- Adhere to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures, QSR, and FDA regulations.
Requirements
- Technical career or equivalent, applicable to: Mechanics, Electric, Electro-mechanics, Electronics, Metrology, instrumentalist.
- 3 to 5 years of experience and/or related training preferably.
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation preferably in the medical industry.
- Wide knowledge of computer package.
- Knowledge of the Campus Systems, preferably.
- Knowledge of Maximo System (Computerized System for the Management of Maintenance), preferably.
- Knowledge of the GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices )/ISO preferably.
- Knowledge of emergency and corrective, nonplanned maintenance, calibrations procedures documentation and quality systems, preferably.
- Willing to work 2nd shift (2:30pm -11pm)
