About the role
- Accountable for delivering the Supply Chain readiness for our New Product portfolio through the Management of Project Managers direct reports and/or individual contributors in a matrix environment
- Lead critical NPI SC projects in addition to conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations
- Oversee and motivate project team members to deliver project objectives by assessing resource needs, removing barriers to success, and providing constructive feedback when needed
- Communicate direction in ongoing strategic rationale for projects and for the planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting of projects
- Establish processes to analyze, measure, and track project results, report on progress, and optimize program processes
- Facilitate risk assessments, drive informed decision-making, and ensure the resolution of critical issues
- Manage aspects of team operations (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance) and ensure achievement of team goals within established timelines and budgets
- Integrate Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelors Degree required
- At least 10 years experience leading multi-functional teams to deliver capital projects to plan within a manufacturing environment
- 8+ years of business experience preferably in a health care industry with at least 4+ years of cumulative experience in one or more of the following functions (Manufacturing, engineering, new product management, planning, other supply chain disciplines, R&D)
- 3+ years of People Leadership experience required
- 5+ years of Project management experience required
- Project Management certification preferred (ex. FPX)
- 5+ yrs of experience in successfully leading multi-functional teams in a dynamic environment required
- Demonstrated familiarity with FDA regulatory standards and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry is preferred
- Demonstrated Leadership skills with strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to partner, build consensus, to lead teams through influence rather than authority, and build collaborative relationships
- Demonstrated superior matrix management, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills
