About the role
- Partner with senior business leaders across the company to build a comprehensive, community and customer-oriented policy agenda
- Co-lead management of the PAC, including reporting requirements, internal communications, and managing outside vendors
- Drive a policy agenda that advocates innovation, access to credit, consumer choice, and financial wellness
- Represent the company as it navigates complex political, legislative, and regulatory landscapes across the country
- Monitor, report, analyze and predict changes and trends in state and local political environments
- Build and maintain relationships with industry and community groups to promote shared objectives
- Effectively manage and lead state trade associations, driving outcomes that align with OneMain’s mission and ethos
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in public policy, advocacy and/or government
- Demonstrated experience working with officials, regulators, legislators, and other policymakers to achieve strategic policy outcomes
- Experience working for a financial services company is preferred
- Knowledge of government relations principles and the laws, regulations, and legislative processes governing the financial services sector
- Up to 60% domestic travel
