About the role

  • Design and develop Salesforce solutions for a Nonprofit client as part of a collaborative technical consulting team
  • Responsible for Apex code testing, review, and documentation
  • Collaborate with project team on custom software/integration design and system testing
  • Meet with clients to determine business, functional and technical requirements and participate in application design, configuration, testing and deployment
  • Produce tangible deliverables (requirements specifications, design deliverables, mapping documents, status, project plans)
  • Provide technical documentation and support training efforts as needed
  • Develop test classes and automation scripts to ensure high test coverage and regression reliability
  • Apply scalable architecture, clean code, and consultative mindset to help clients achieve real-world impact

Requirements

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I (Required)
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II (Preferred)
  • Additional certifications such as JavaScript Developer I or Salesforce Architect credentials are a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in Salesforce development, preferably with enterprise or large-scale implementations
  • Strong understanding of Apex code to be able to do code review and test providing recommendations for improvements or identify gaps
  • Proficient in Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP)
  • Experience with JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS in the context of Salesforce development
  • Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and ETL concepts
  • Experience with Salesforce DX, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in Nonprofit domains (desired)
  • Software engineering skills with Java SE & EE (Java, JSF, SQL) preferred
  • Willingness/ability to work part-time contract ~20 hours/week
