About the role
- Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues across VMware ESXi hosts.
- Administer VMware vCenter, vRealize Operations (vROps), and vRealize Automation.
- Perform VM lifecycle management, hardware upgrades, and firmware updates.
- Track compute capacity and recommend resource optimization strategies.
- Support installation and configuration of new data center infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain uptime and efficiency.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in platform engineering or systems administration.
- 3+ years of Federal or DoD IT experience.
- Strong expertise with VMware vCenter, ESXi (6.7/7), and vRealize Suite.
- Experience in compute capacity planning, performance tuning, and data center operations.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Familiarity with RMF, STIGs, and DoD system security requirements.
- Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain)
