About the role
- Play a vital role in the functional and processing aspects of implementing Oracle Retail software
- Guide projects effectively with expertise in the retail industry and Oracle Retail functionalities
- Provide direction and mentorship to the team and support the Project Manager
- Maintain regular communication with clients and assist in project objectives, scope, organization, timelines, and approach
- Define implementation and integration alternatives and collaborate with the OLR functional team
- Provide coaching to client business process team users and define system configuration requirements
- Identify gaps and recommend system modifications to meet business requirements
- Document functional requirements and support design processes for clients
- Escalate project issues to the Project Manager as needed
- Assist Business Process Team Leader in strategy development and work planning
- Perform go-live assessments for system readiness
- Maintain knowledge of Oracle Retail solution capabilities and retail concepts
- Schedule and participate in client workshops
- Log, report, and resolve application issues
- Develop functional product knowledge for clients and OLR team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in Retail IT or consulting
- 5+ years’ experience with Oracle Retail implementations
- Significant hands-on retail operations experience preferred
- Deep understanding of Oracle Retail modules (RMS, RPM, ReSA, SIM, RIB, etc.)
- Proven record in large-scale software implementations
- Strong consulting, negotiation, and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and client management capabilities
- High attention to detail, initiative, and accountability
- Financial awareness relating to project budgets and delivery timelines
