About the role

  • Provide overall day-to-day direction to store personnel to provide efficient and quality service to customers.
  • Supervise and train technicians while monitoring employee to customer interaction.
  • Monitor inventory, complete required paperwork, and enact cost control measures to ensure profitability and growth.
  • Provide service to customer vehicles, including checking and changing fluids and filters, checking and adjusting tires; provide specialized services including but not limited to transmission, differential and radiator.
  • Input customer and maintenance information into computers; explain service to customers and accept payment for services.
  • Maintain and enforce proper cash controls and review transactions for voids, incomplete invoices, and cash shortages.
  • Complete store inspections on a weekly basis and correct discrepancies with assistance of Regional Manager if necessary.
  • Oversee daily clean-up and ensure clean, presentable facilities and grounds; ensure store opened and closed on time daily.
  • Schedule staff, monitor workflow to meet time limits, and ensure prompt courteous customer service; resolve customer problems and complaints.
  • Provide daily supervision and training including hiring, scheduling, counseling, corrective action, performance evaluations and termination.
  • Continuously educate employees on product/service offerings and ensure proper tools are available.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly paperwork on a timely basis; maintain adequate inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Follow and enforce all safety and Environmental rules and policies.

Requirements

  • To successfully perform the essential functions of the position, the employee must be able to read and write English.
  • Previous management/supervisory experience is required.
  • Good technical knowledge and math skills are required.
  • Equipment operation includes overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns, coolant exchange machine, differential pump, transmission fluid exchange machine and calculator.
  • The employee must be able to reach overhead to a height of four feet.
  • Constant bending, stretching, and stair use are required.
  • The employee must be able to communicate effectively with customers, co- workers, Regional Manager and Corporate Personnel.
  • Mobility is required.
  • Experience in customer service, inventory management, and team leadership.
