Provide overall day-to-day direction to store personnel to provide efficient and quality service to customers
Supervise and train technicians while monitoring employee-to-customer interactions
Monitor inventory, complete required paperwork, and enact cost control measures to ensure profitability and growth
Provide service to customer vehicles: check/change fluids and filters, check/adjust tires, perform specialized services (transmission, differential, radiator)
Input customer and maintenance information into computers; explain services and accept payment
Maintain and enforce proper cash controls, review transactions for voids and cash shortages
Complete weekly store inspections and correct discrepancies
Oversee daily clean-up and maintain clean facilities and grounds
Ensure store opening/closing on time and proper staff scheduling
Monitor workflow to meet service time limits and store goals
Provide hiring, scheduling, training, counseling, corrective action, performance evaluations and termination
Continuously educate employees on product/service offerings and ensure proper tools on hand
Complete daily, weekly and monthly paperwork; maintain adequate inventory levels and order supplies
Report to Regional Manager and enforce safety and environmental rules and policies
Requirements
Valid Driver's license is required
Previous automotive service writer experience is required
Previous management/supervisory experience is required
Must be able to read and write English
Good technical knowledge and math skills
Equipment operation: overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns, coolant exchange machine, differential pump, transmission fluid exchange machine and calculator
Ability to reach overhead to a height of four feet
Frequent bending, stretching, and stair use required
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, Regional Manager and Corporate Personnel
