Provide overall day-to-day direction to store personnel to provide efficient and quality service to customers.
Supervise and train technicians while monitoring employee to customer interaction.
Monitor inventory, complete required paperwork, and enact cost control measures to ensure profitability and growth of the location.
Provide service to customer vehicles, including checking and changing fluids and filters, checking and adjusting tires; provide specialized services including but not limited to transmission, differential and radiator.
Input customer and maintenance information into computers; explain service to customers and accept payment for services.
Maintain and enforce proper cash controls, prepare deposits, and maintain cash drawer.
Complete store inspections weekly and correct discrepancies.
Oversee and direct daily clean-up to maintain clean, presentable facilities and grounds.
Observe and comply with safety rules and hold monthly safety meetings.
Ensure the store is opened and closed on time daily and staff are properly scheduled.
Monitor workflow to ensure vehicles are serviced within specified time limits and resolve customer problems and complaints.
Review transactions for voids, incomplete invoices, and cash shortages to detect and prevent theft.
Provide daily supervision including hiring, scheduling, training, counseling, corrective action, performance evaluations and termination.
Maintain adequate inventory levels; order supplies as needed and ensure proper tools are on hand.
Complete daily, weekly and monthly paperwork on a timely basis and attend manager meetings each month.
Investigate and report customer service issues and employee issues to Regional Manager and corporate personnel and follow/enforce Environmental rules and policies.
Requirements
To successfully perform the essential functions of the position, the employee must be able to read and write English.
Two years of previous management/supervisory experience is required.
Good technical knowledge and math skills are required.
Equipment operation includes overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns, coolant exchange machine, differential pump, transmission fluid exchange machine and calculator.
The employee must be able to reach overhead to a height of four feet.
Constant bending, stretching, and stair use are required.
The employee must be able to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, Regional Manager and Corporate Personnel.
Mobility is required.
Cash handling and proper cash controls experience.
Ability to supervise, hire, schedule, train, counsel, and perform performance evaluations and terminations.
