About the role
- Act as a liaison and collaborate with key stakeholders to analyze, evaluate, and improve health information management practices and workflows
- Uses critical thinking skills to analyze complex issues, determine root cause and develop solutions independently
- Act as a lead in HIM operational areas by providing support and expertise
- Collaborate with HIM Leadership and IT department to identify enhancements and opportunities to improve the electronic health record
- In depth analysis of HIM operations to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks related to electronic health information
- Identify opportunities for training and professional development, create training materials and deliver education to enhance the skills and knowledge of associates
- Collaborates with HIM leadership to implement best practices and emerging trends in health information management to ensure compliance and optimize operations
- Assist with creating standard of work, policies, and procedures for HIM operations
Requirements
- High School or GED
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of EPIC, Solarity, Onbase, and data archive systems
- Practical knowledge of health information management principles, regulations, and best practices
- Strong analytical skills and can identify issues with workflows
- Expertise in health information management software and electronic health record systems
