Business Development Rep

• Design, build, and deploy new user experiences and backend services across our five business verticals, using React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Node.js, and Java
• Own features end-to-end: plan, design, develop, deploy, measure, and iterate
• Break down complex engineering problems into achievable tasks and deliver them within committed timeframes
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Data, Business stakeholders) to design and implement new features
• Contribute to A/B tests and use experimentation results to decide what ships
• Actively participate in code reviews and enforce good patterns, testing, and edge-case handling
• Coach and mentor junior team members, new hires, and interns
• Create shared components, utilities, and services that improve team velocity across the stack
• Maintain and improve the runbooks, alerting, and monitoring for the features you ship
• Participate in a reasonable on-call rotation with the rest of the team
• Use AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, and similar) to increase your daily development velocity and code quality
• Become a subject matter expert in one or more of the team's sub-domains

Software Development Engineer II, Full Stack – Business

Frontend Engineer

• Ship real code: Design, build, and ship features that run in production and reach real users, not throwaway prototypes.
• Own a meaningful problem: Take a defined piece of work from design through delivery, with the support of your engineering manager and teammates.
• Build across the system: Develop and improve the services, APIs, and experiences that power OfferUp, and learn how the pieces fit together end to end.
• Move fast and do spike work: Investigate open-ended problems, prototype solutions, and turn technical spikes into clear recommendations the team can act on.
• Leverage AI tools: Use tools like Claude and Gemini to ramp up faster, navigate the codebase, accelerate spike work, and raise the quality of what you ship.
• Collaborate across the team: Work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to turn ambiguous requirements into shipped, well-tested features.
• Care about quality: Write tests, participate in code reviews, and help keep our systems observable, reliable, and maintainable.
• Present your work: Share what you built and what you learned with the broader engineering and product teams at the end of your internship.

Software Engineering Intern – Summer 2026

• Own real projects: You won't just be building slide decks in a corner. You'll drive a defined problem space from discovery through recommendation, with the support of your PM manager and colleagues.
• Dig into the data: Use analytics tools to understand user behavior, identify opportunities, and measure the impact of your work.
• Talk to users: Conduct research and synthesize insights that inform product decisions.
• Collaborate across the team: Work closely with engineers, designers, and business stakeholders to turn ambiguity into a clear plan.
• Leverage AI: Use tools like Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT to move faster and think bigger.
• Present your findings: Share your recommendations with the broader product team and leadership at the end of your internship.

Product Management Intern – Summer 2026

• Brainstorm and develop ideas for the organic social calendar alongside our social team.
• Identify trends, formats, creators, and conversations OfferUp can authentically participate in.
• Support short-form video concepts for TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, and beyond — capturing or appearing in content depending on your comfort and fit.
• Run lightweight man-on-the-street interviews on campus or in local communities.
• Help with briefs, shot lists, content organization, and basic production coordination.
• Monitor what's resonating, and get exposure to paid creative testing, campaign operations, and performance analysis.

Marketing Intern, Social & Creative

• Research regulatory developments in areas relevant to the company
• Draft and review a variety of commercial agreements, including NDAs, SaaS agreements, and statements of work
• Maintain and update contract repository system
• Help implement and improve legal team workflows and compliance processes
• Draft and update Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and other user-facing policies
• Triage and respond to internal legal questions from business teams

Legal Intern – Summer 2026

Cloud Engineer

• Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure, platform tooling, and CI/CD systems for OfferUp's core applications
• Build cloud infrastructure as code — design, implement, and maintain AWS and GCP infrastructure with Terraform
• Own Kubernetes & GitOps platform — run and evolve EKS/GKE (cluster upgrades, Envoy/Gloo networking, Helm, ArgoCD delivery)
• Build CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows (GitHub Actions, monorepo tooling, JFrog Artifactory)
• Lead platform migrations end-to-end — plan, execute, and de-risk observability, data-store, Kubernetes, and multi-account migrations
• Drive operational excellence & security — own observability in Datadog, remediate CVEs, manage secrets and access controls, optimize cloud cost
• Enable AI/ML developer tooling, lead design and code reviews, set technical standards, mentor engineers
