About the role

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair activities within the organization.
  • Manage a team of maintenance personnel and ensure that all equipment and facilities are operating efficiently and safely.

  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices, conducting regular safety inspections and training sessions for maintenance staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory.
  • Prepare and present reports on maintenance operations, budget considerations, and progress to upper management.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to coordinate maintenance needs and schedules.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or higher in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in maintenance management or a similar role, preferably within property management or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing maintenance operations for multiple properties.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team of maintenance professionals.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development, motivation, and performance management.
  • In-depth knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, vendors, and clients.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills are also required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to property maintenance.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
