About the role
- Deliver platform services and improvements throughout the software delivery lifecycle
- Take ownership of key technical areas in platform services
- Contribute to technical decisions affecting multiple teams
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams
- Support incident response and contribute to operational improvements
- Identify opportunities to automate and simplify platform services
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers
Requirements
- Great communication skills
- Previous experience working in small, highly-autonomous teams
- Proficient using AWS
- Good expertise in Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Datadog or similar tools
- Knowledge of messaging queues like RabbitMQ
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL or a similar RDBMS
- Python development experience
- Understanding of networking and DNS
- Experience with Terraform or similar tools
- Experience with a Linux distribution
