• Identify, target, and develop new sales opportunities with regional and national health plans, building a robust pipeline aligned to quota targets.
• Engage senior stakeholders within health plans, including behavioral health leadership and payer IT teams, through outbound prospecting, referrals, and strategic networking.
• Lead the full sales lifecycle with health plans, from initial outreach and discovery through proposal development, deal structuring, negotiation, and close.
• Develop a deep understanding of each health plan’s priorities, translating Octave’s technical, operational, and clinical value into tailored solutions.
• Drive complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes within health plans, securing high-value, long-cycle contracts.
• Monitor health plan market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to inform sales strategy and positioning.
• Partner with Product, Clinical, Finance, and Implementation teams to shape solutions that meet health plan requirements and support successful deal execution.
• Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and CRM discipline; contribute to scalable and repeatable sales processes.
• Deliver high-impact presentations and proposals to health plan leadership, clearly articulating Octave’s differentiated value.
• Represent Octave in payer-focused forums, conferences, and events to build relationships and generate pipeline within the health plan market.
• Leverage AI tools as a core part of daily work (drafting, research, iteration) to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making.

Sales Development Rep

• Make outbound calls to providers in whitespace markets not covered by field-based Outreach Managers
• Manage inbound requests from healthcare providers interested in Octave's services
• Conduct virtual presentations that educate physicians and staff on Octave's care model, outcomes data, and patient benefits
• Overcome objections and close providers on establishing Octave as their preferred behavioral health referral partner
• Meet assigned referral targets and complete required virtual sales activities to drive leads and conversions
• Build a deep understanding of Octave's services to clearly communicate our value proposition: outcomes data, measurement-based care, in-network access, and patient experience
• Collaborate with providers to understand their patient needs and align Octave's services accordingly
• Gather provider feedback and share insights with internal teams to improve services and messaging
• Maintain an organized pipeline and track all outreach in CRM, updating activity within 48 hours
• Partner with the marketing team to create repeatable, scalable processes for referrals
• Leverage AI tools as a core part of daily work (drafting, research, iteration) to improve efficiency, quality, and decision-making
