Assist the site with various duties, including project work
Ensure all work is done in a safe manner consistent with company, local, state, federal and health, safety and environmental regulations and procedures
Aid in providing engineering support for equipment optimization and degradation study efforts
Contribute to computer models to predict effect on equipment
Provide technical support in the design, specification, selection, and operation of equipment (under guidance)
Evaluate equipment performance by collecting and analyzing data and make recommendations to improve reliability and product quality
Support complex engineering assignments including investigation of problems or opportunities, preparation of design and specifications, and performance measurement via economic evaluations
Evaluate the production unit to discover equipment inefficiencies, safety hazards, and potential environmental risks and recommend courses of action
Gain knowledge of day-to-day operations, be involved in production unit problem resolution and repairs
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelors’ degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent related program with a graduation date of August 2026 or later
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Must be able to work at heights, outdoors, and around potentially hazardous chemicals
Must be able to hear and understand audible alarms, changes in noise levels of rotating equipment and portable radio communications
Must be familiar with Microsoft’s Office Suite
Must be a current student who will be returning to studies after the work term
Must meet minimum age requirements as permitted by law
Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
