About the role
- The Melt Shop Manager’s chief responsibility is to deliver on our commitment to become the world’s safest steel company by providing systems and processes that facilitate solutions for our team.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to: establishing a clear vision and strategy that will allow the teams to execute and optimize safety, plus operational excellence in quality, costs, productivity, profitability, and environmental stewardship.
- This individual must take an active role in developing all leaders within the division.
- Some travel is required.
- Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Requirements
- At least five years leadership experience
- Manufacturing experience
- Leadership experience with EAF and Casting
