About the role
- Design a scalable people infrastructure by setting and overseeing a global talent strategy across all markets, ensuring hiring is disciplined, high quality, paced correctly and aligned to long term capability needs. Own and lead the international workforce strategy, building a cohesive, inclusive, engaged and high performance team across all geographies.
- Design and evolve the organisational structure to support international expansion, including US market entry.
- Provide executive partnership by acting as a strategic adviser and challenger to the Board, Founder and SLT, ensuring clear, data-driven visibility of workforce strategy, organisational health and talent risk to enable informed decision-making.
- Coach and challenge senior leaders across all levels to develop leadership capability and succession depth across critical roles.
- Embed a performance framework that drives measurable outcomes, accountability and a high-performance culture where high standards are consistent, and underperformance is addressed decisively.
- Attract top talent by building a compelling employer brand and designing a competitive and commercially aligned total rewards strategy across markets.
- Ensure compliance with employment law and regulations across jurisdictions. Define and steward our culture and values, ensuring alignment, consistency and behavioural clarity across all markets.
- Build and scale robust people operations infrastructure, systems and governance to support efficient, data-driven international growth.
- Mentor and lead the Head of People and wider people team.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive People leadership experience, having led People at VP or equivalent level in a high-growth tech company, ideally post-Series B or beyond.
- Knowledge and experience of growth and development, scaling organisations internationally (SME, high-growth, or multinational environments), including entry into new markets such as the US.
- Proven ability to design and implement People systems on a large scale.
- Deep knowledge of compensation, talent acquisition, organisational development, change management, and employment law.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- You are comfortable operating at board and exec levels.
- You’ve done international expansion before – and know how to make new markets click, culturally and operationally.
- You can think long term while staying close enough to the ground to know where the friction is.
- You’re AI-native – you don’t just tolerate new tools, you grab them to supercharge how we hire, onboard and scale.
- You bring calm in the chaos – pragmatic, decisive, and clear under pressure.
- Above all, you bring energy, urgency and ownership – the drive to keep Nory scaling fast without losing focus or culture.
