Salary
💰 $150,000 - $200,000 per year
About the role
- Own full-cycle recruiting for Northslope's business (non-tech) and sales functions
- Partnering directly with our Exec. leadership team to understand hiring needs and business priorities
- Building and managing pipelines of exceptional commercial and operational talent who thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Crafting creative sourcing strategies that go beyond job boards. Finding candidates in non-traditional places who have the right mindset, not just the right resume
- Owning the candidate experience from first outreach through offer acceptance and onboarding
- Designing and refining interview processes to better assess for the qualities that make business hires successful at Northslope
- Using data and metrics to understand what's working, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve recruiting efficiency
- Selling candidates on our mission and helping them understand why building the commercial engine around custom AI applications is a once-in-a-career opportunity
Requirements
- 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience across commercial, sales, or business functions, with a strong preference for candidates who've been part of a startup's journey from early stage to high-growth
- Proven ability to hire in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where the playbook is still being written
- Experience building trusted partnerships with hiring managers, where you're seen as a strategic advisor who challenges assumptions and improves outcomes, not just someone who sources resumes
- A track record of creative sourcing — you know how to find talent that others miss and aren't afraid to try unconventional approaches
- Strong instincts for assessing candidates beyond credentials, particularly the ability to identify people who can navigate ambiguity, build relationships, and operate with genuine ownership
- Data-driven mindset with experience using recruiting metrics to diagnose problems and drive improvements
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate a compelling vision
- Comfort recruiting across a wide range of business functions — you're energised by the variety, and understand that adaptability and mindset often matter more than years of experience in a specific role
- Excitement about doing whatever it takes to close great candidates, whether that means creative outreach, rapid interview coordination, attending events, or hiring surges
Benefits
- Competitive base salary + equity in the form of stock options — you'll have real ownership in what we're building
- Competitive benefits package including comprehensive health insurance
- Flexible hybrid work environment with 1-2 days per week in our New York office
- Significant autonomy to shape how recruiting works at Northslope as we scale
- The opportunity to define your own career path as we grow, whether that's moving into people leadership, becoming the go-to expert for a specific geography or candidate profile, or carving out an entirely new role
- A small, tight-knit team where your work directly impacts our ability to execute on our mission
- Occasional travel (less than 10% of your time) for company off-sites where you'll connect with the broader team and help build our culture
