About the role
- Support the Sentinel program as Principal Software Systems Engineer
- Team plan, execute, and manage the technical scope, and support leadership planning
- Lead performance of technical tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as technical lead
- Integrate multiple engineering specialties and stakeholders across multiple Integrated Product Teams and Suppliers
- Create plans and standards for architecture, requirements, and design addressing safe, fault tolerant, and deterministic operation for critical functions
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to system design and requirements
- Work within Agile, cross-functional Scrum teams to develop software and system requirements and tests
- Participate in verification planning and system buildup for Flight Tests (preferred)
- Support Command and Launch system and mission objectives (preferred)
Requirements
- 05 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 03 Years with Masters, 01 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree
- US Citizenship
- Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP)
- Ability to team plan, execute, and manage the technical scope, and support leadership planning
- Current understanding of software engineering best practices
- Experience in software engineering, system design, software requirements, and test
- Experience with Agile and working in a cross-functional Scrum team
- Experience integrating multiple engineering specialties and stakeholders across multiple Integrated Product Teams and Suppliers
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
- Experience leading the performance of technical tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as technical lead
- Able to create plans and standards for architecture, requirements, and design that can address selection process that accounts for providing safe, fault tolerant, and deterministic operation for critical functions
- Experience with critical functions that perform/support SCF/Critical signal trace threads
- Willingness to travel (~10%)
- Ability to obtain SAP and work on special programs (sensitive access)
