About the role
- Join Northrop Grumman’s B-2 Stealth Bomber Modification Team at Aeronautics Systems Sector.
- Help keep the B-2 fleet on the cutting edge by installing capability upgrades.
- Work directly with mechanical, electrical, industrial and manufacturing engineers and technicians performing work on the aircraft.
- Support Air Force B-2 pilots, maintainers, and logisticians through Northrop Grumman efforts at Whiteman AFB.
- Operate in a production-like environment contributing to aircraft modifications and upgrades.
- May involve travel approximately 10% of the time.
Requirements
- Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and graduating after August 2026.
- Majoring in or having majored in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial, Systems or related STEM field.
- Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2026.
- Able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite); CLEARANCE TYPE: Secret.
- Available to work in person at Whiteman AFB, Missouri.
- U.S. Citizenship required for positions with a government clearance.
- Preferred: overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher.
- Preferred: strong verbal and written communication skills and experience working with a team.
- Preferred: past work experience, especially work applicable to your degree program.
- Travel: Yes, 10% of the time.
