About the role
- Manage the daily operations of Mission Assurance Engineers
- Provide leadership and development support to team members
- Analyze data and drive process improvements
- Review and/or develop inspection plans based upon statistical methods
- Use Lean tools such as risk assessment, 8D, DFMEA and/or PFMEA
- Be a liaison with DCMA
- Assure established policies and procedures are being followed
- Manage group staffing to meet workload
- Oversee Mission Assurance activities at Allegany Ballistics Lab (Rocket Center, WV)
Requirements
- BS or higher degree in STEM
- Must be a US citizen
- At least 6 years of Relevant Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to make sound technical decisions
- Attention to details
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Experience with custom manufacturing software (i.e. Solumina) preferred
- Lean Six Sigma training and certification preferred
