About the role
- Lead a group of program managers and their cross-functional organization aligned to common program performance goals
- Provide overall leadership of the International Co-Production portfolio, encompassing established contracts in Saudi Arabia and Ukraine and multiple pursuits throughout all regions of the world
- Responsible for profitable and on-time execution of existing contracts and capture of critical pursuits to further growth within the Co-Production portfolio
- Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract
- Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes
- Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify program problems and execute to meet financial objectives
- Direct the work of employees assigned to the programs from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas
- Lead all phases of the program life cycle from inception through startup, execution, and completion
- Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems
- Cultivate customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities
- Develop new business opportunities through strategic planning, capture planning, proposals and business plans
- Establish program organization, lead Integrated Program Teams (IPT), measure/report program performance, deliver presentations to customers and executive management
- Establish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product RDI and test; create/review/finalize program Statement of Work; identify/track/complete program requirements; manage baselines and resources; utilize EVM or similar; manage suppliers; conduct risk & opportunity management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years), OR a Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries
- Prior experience in Co-Production pursuit, capture, and execution
- Three (3) years of experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager
- Five (5) years of demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal
- Must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining a Secret security clearance level
- Able to travel both internationally and domestically up to 25% of the time
- Preferred: Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Preferred: Working experience supporting International contracts
- Preferred: Prior experience with large or medium caliber military armaments, or related systems including development, transition to production, and production experience
- Preferred: Demonstrated history of effective and productive customer relationships
- Preferred: Experience with International Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) proposals/contracts
