About the role

  • Prepare reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts, including corporate cash and investments
  • Prepare bank and other account reconciliations and analyses; perform monthly bank account reconciliations
  • Perform billing for NAH leases and other contracts
  • Provide accounting information and assistance to department staff and management; answer questions
  • Support Financial Operations with research, document control, and the Corporate credit card system
  • Assist Cash Desk with preparing daily bank deposits and reconciliations
  • Report abnormal variances in account activity to Accounting Manager and Controller
  • Compile, prepare and post monthly general journal entries and other adjustments
  • Prepare and distribute interim and annual financial statements for the corporation and its entities
  • Review draft financial statements and trend reports; assist with unusual trends or problem areas
  • Prepare and analyze operating ledgers and financial reports
  • Prepare audit work papers and cooperate with external auditors; assist in preparing Form 990 information returns
  • Assist in preparation of Medicare Cost Report, Uniform Accounting Report, finance-related surveys, grant applications, and ad hoc projects
  • Comply with state and federal regulations, company policies, safety reporting, and required certifications/training

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or Mathematics - Required
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant Accounting/Finance experience - Required
  • MS Excel skills - Required
  • Previous healthcare experience - Preferred
  • Experience working in an integrated care delivery system (IDS) - Preferred
  • Understanding of computers and competence in using basic software programs
  • Ability to complete company mandatory modules and job-specific training within required time frame
