About the role

  • Ensure the project complies with environmental federal, state, and base regulations and standards
  • Work closely with government agencies and organizations to obtain necessary permits and ensure adherence to environmental laws
  • Conduct site assessments and inspections; document findings and provide written reports with observations, data collected, and photographs
  • Interact with regulatory specialists, clients, design engineers, and contractors to coordinate environmental compliance
  • Coordinate with team members to execute project scope, schedules, and budgets
  • Research codes, guidance, policies, procedures, processes, criteria, and federal laws and regulations and provide technical recommendations in writing
  • Apply innovative technical principles, practices, and theories to resolve technical issues
  • Review technical reports, RFIs, designs, design changes, project deliverables, submittals, and cost proposals to ensure compliance
  • Provide technical support for design and construction submittals, field inspections, and construction activities
  • Prepare various permit applications and assist with report writing
  • Document all project communications and participate in client/user interviews to identify project needs and constraints
  • Use computer programs and spreadsheets for engineering analysis and presentations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Engineering college curriculum
  • Minimum 10 years design experience
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing correspondence, written reports and in briefing management personnel
  • Knowledge of broad-based Engineering and Environmental principles
  • Sound understanding of environmental technical concepts, principles, and practices applicable to design and construction
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and verbally
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret contract documents
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Possess a passport and ability to travel up to 25%
  • PE – U.S. Professional Engineering Registration
  • Holds an active Q-clearance
  • Candidates may be required to obtain and hold a Secret or Higher US Government Clearance
