About the role

  • Supervise children during program activities
  • Intervene during a crisis using appropriate techniques including WELLE restraint.
  • Drive program van and accompany other staff during ride.
  • Complete daily documentation of children’s progress in the milieu.
  • Perform duties as a Family Partner including maintaining contact with caregivers and conduct outreach to their families in their homes and communities as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by program manager.

Requirements

  • Education Associates degree in a human service field and one year of related experience with target population OR High School diploma/GED and a minimum of two years relevant experience.
  • Experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs (preferably mental health needs).
  • Applicants must have at least one year of experience working with school age children.
  • Skills: Bilingual Spanish required (please indicate language skills on application).
  • Valid Mass drivers license and offsite travel required.
