About the role

  • Monitor various procurement channels and work with customers to achieve revenue and margin targets
  • Monitor bid boards (DIBBS, GSA Ebuy, Unison, SAM.gov) and respond to opportunities
  • Answer incoming quote requests via phone and email; quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates
  • Utilize ERP system for processing orders and enter all quotes, customers, and opportunities into Salesforce; maintain a pipeline
  • Develop relationships with repeat customers and provide post-sale support to resolve problems
  • Provide customers with product samples and catalogs and recommend products based on customer needs
  • Develop marketing strategy to access new contacts within existing accounts and communicate leads to Regional Sales
  • Conduct market research and assist in territory strategy, vendor relations, and dealer of record
  • Achieve sales and margin objectives set by the Director

Requirements

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal across all business levels
  • Solid understanding of assigned sales markets as well as company objectives and goals
  • Ability to build rapport and credibility with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
  • Customer service focused with the ability to manage difficult customer situations
  • Associates Degree in Business or related field or work equivalent
  • Government sales and Federal contracting experience a plus
  • MS Office Suite or comparable software, internet search capability, and database creation/entry
  • Understanding and experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
  • SalesForce experience is a plus
