About the role
- Develop and execute performance test plans, scenarios, and scripts to validate system scalability, reliability, and responsiveness.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using tools such as Selenium, WebDriver, and other relevant technologies.
- Perform load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing to identify system limitations and ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct functional, regression, usability, and acceptance testing as part of end-to-end validation efforts.
- Perform 508 compliance, security, and accessibility testing in accordance with federal standards.
- Analyze test results and perform root cause analysis of performance issues, providing actionable feedback to development teams.
- Collaborate with project managers and developers to ensure testing objectives and timelines are met.
- Create and maintain documentation for test plans, cases, results, and defect tracking.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement testing tools and strategies to improve automation and performance testing capabilities.
- Design, execute, and maintain load and performance test suites, and monitor test results across environments.
- Provide regular progress reports and quality metrics to project stakeholders.
- May mentor or lead other QA professionals and serve as a subject matter expert on performance testing best practices.
Requirements
- US Citizen with ability to successfully complete federal background investigation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in software testing and performance engineering.
- Demonstrated experience with: Performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, K6, or LoadRunner
- Automation tools such as Selenium, WebDriver, or equivalent
- API testing and validation using tools like Postman
- SQL and database performance analysis
- Defect tracking and test management systems
- Conducting 508 compliance, usability, and security testing
- Strong understanding of software quality assurance methodologies, SDLC processes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
