About the role
- Contribute to the effective execution and long-term success of our talent acquisition and workforce development strategies. This includes enhancing talent sourcing, improving customer experience, building a strong employer brand, and advancing the Community Benefits Framework throughout the organization.
- Design and implement innovative training, development, and outreach initiatives that engage communities and cultivate a diverse candidate pipeline using cutting-edge marketing tools and processes.
- Facilitate hiring forecasts by orchestrating strategic and timely recruitment efforts that employ unconventional sourcing techniques and developmental programs targeting specific skill sets.
- Forge meaningful partnerships with Community Benefits Organizations (CBOs) to tap into talent from underrepresented, underserved, and diverse communities.
- Identify and relay skill gaps and employment challenges to both internal employees and external candidates, fostering collaboration with key stakeholders and training institutions to overcome these obstacles.
- Collaborate with HR leadership for grants and program subsidies offered through Community Benefit Organizations.
- Act as the NFI Group representative at career fairs, college events, and recruitment gatherings to promote our employment opportunities.
- Analyze and report on recruitment metrics to recommend enhancements to our sourcing and recruitment strategies.
- Explore and identify internal workforce development initiatives in partnership with Operations, HR, and Learning & Development teams to launch impactful training and awareness programs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Talent Acquisition, Workforce Development, and Community-Based Frameworks aimed at cultivating and maintaining a diverse talent pipeline.
- Highly organized with a knack for navigating complex, multi-business landscapes.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with a broad spectrum of internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in various computer applications and analytical tools, including Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.
- Background in supporting full-cycle recruitment for skilled, technical, or other challenging-to-fill positions.
- Experience in designing, coordinating, or supporting workforce development initiatives such as internships, pre-employment programs, training pipelines, or outreach events.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, with the ability to connect and engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, job roles, cultures, and communication styles.
- Proven experience in supporting change initiatives, new programs, or evolving workforce strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%; must be eligible to travel to Canada or the U.S.
