About the role
- Coordinate and perform pre-dispatch (production supervision, factory acceptance tests, pre-shipment inspections) and post- dispatch inspections for renewable energy equipment (solar modules, energy storage systems, wind turbines, inverters)
- Understand the inspection plan and checklist content after being trained to the projects requirements
- Participate to the project opening meeting to brief the supplier on the scope, inspection rules and schedule
- Verify the conditions on site (5M methodology) prior to performing the inspection
- Coordinate the inspection team on site as per the activity schedule prepared by the Project Manager
- Witness manufacturing and testing progress by analyzing measurement according to a checklist
- Monitor the testing lead time to ensure the completion within the agreed schedule
- Inform the contact people on the inspection site about findings and analyze their improvement plan
- Report to the Project Manager the findings observed on site during the inspection
- Fill-in the inspection report, based on the format prepared by the Service Engineering team
- Suggest ameliorations to the supplier to improve the inspected product and the testing conditions
- Propose improvement of the inspection methodology
Requirements
- Bachelor in a technical field, or above
- Ability to correctly interpret drawings, specifications and test procedures for PV Module
- Experienced in renewable energies, energy storage or factory inspection
- At least 5 years experience in Quality Control (factory or on-site)
- At least 5 years experience in a PV Module technical position
- Minimum 3 years management experience required
- Good command of the Microsoft Office package
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
