About the role
- Design, code, and test application software using .NET technologies with SQL Server as the backend database
- Develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET C#, HTML, CSS, and XML
- Create, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures in MS SQL Server
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and internal teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Develop and integrate APIs to support seamless data exchange between systems
- Implement performance monitoring and tuning practices for database and application components
- Work closely with client teams to create and test applications across multiple environments
- Build and deploy reports and dashboards using Power BI for enhanced data visualization
- Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to client staff on .NET and SQL Server development practices
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting of application issues
Requirements
- Must be located in or around the New York City area
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of professional experience in application development using .NET technologies
- Strong programming skills in ASP.NET (C#), HTML, CSS, XML, and Visual Studio .NET
- Proficiency with MS SQL Server database development, including stored procedures, triggers, indexing, and performance optimization
- Experience with API development and integration
- Hands-on experience with Power BI for data reporting and visualization
- Familiarity with Oracle database integration and development is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
