Lead and execute the month-end close process, coordinating with internal teams and outsourced accounting advisors to ensure timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting.
Partner with the internal Technical/Revenue Accounting team to ensure revenue recognition models comply with ASC 606 and company revenue policies.
Review complex balance sheet reconciliations, including accounts receivable, deferred revenue, inventory, prepaids, and accrued expenses, ensuring accuracy and maintaining audit-ready supporting documentation.
Prepare and manage audit support for assigned areas, including developing audit-ready schedules, responding to auditor requests, and ensuring timely resolution of inquiries.
Drive improvements to accounting processes, systems and data workflows, leveraging Excel, Power Query, and automation or BI tools to reduce manual effort and enhance data accuracy.
Collaborate cross-functionally with FinOps, Supply Chain, and Fulfillment teams to validate accounting data flows and ensure consistent treatment across operational systems.
Support technical accounting analysis related to new business initiatives and evolving accounting requirements.
Assist with the implementation and optimization of ERP and business systems to support scalable accounting processes as the company grows.

Requirements

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, 2+ years of people management
Ideally within consumer electronics, e-commerce, or hardware businesses & early stage startup experience
Strong technical knowledge of the U.S. GAAP, with emphasis on revenue recognition, inventory, and COGS accounting.
Advanced Excel and data skills with ability to analyze and reconcile large data sets.
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred). Experience with accounting software systems such as Blackline and FloQast is a bonus. Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, and WMS platforms is a plus.
Hands-on experience with accounting system implementation or process automation is a plus and highly valued.
