About the role

  • Solicit colleges & universities, county and local transit agencies, hotels/motels and any other commercial bus operator.
  • Actively “cold call” accounts.
  • Consult with the Director of Sales and Sales Manager to devise pricing strategies based on market conditions.
  • Demonstrate products directly to customers at their locations.
  • Participate in all appropriate sales and product training as directed by the Sales Manager or Director of Sales.
  • Attend all necessary trade shows and events to grow our market share.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a bus, specialty vehicle or commercial truck sales environment.
  • Obtain and understand technical information and possess sufficient knowledge to identify, document and correct any sales issue.
  • Ability to travel throughout territory.
  • Exhibit good organizational skills and detailed record keeping (attention to detail is critical).
  • Meet reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, accomplishing the goals of the position.
  • Demonstrate the ability to accomplish multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed, proof of liability and property damage insurance on any vehicle used is required.
  • Possess valid NYS Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or have the ability to obtain one within 12 months of employment.
