About the role
- Build a secure, compliant, and scalable privacy-preserving AI platform
- Ensure real-world impact for hospitals, pharma, and patients
- Work closely with the CEO and global advisors to shape product–market fit and technical excellence
- Lead platform architecture and scale a privacy-preserving infrastructure
- Guide DevOps, backend/frontend, and AI pipeline development
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, ISO 13485, and MDR
- Integrate with hospital systems (EHR/EMR via FHIR, HL7, openEHR)
- Oversee security, reliability, and performance at scale
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies (GenAI, privacy-preserving AI, etc.)
- Own the product roadmap from MVP to global release and conduct user discovery with hospitals, clinicians, and pharma
- Translate clinical/regulatory needs into actionable features and prioritize features that accelerate time-to-diagnosis
- Define success metrics, validation pathways, and feedback loops and foster a user-centred, iterative development culture
Requirements
- 5+ years in technical/product leadership (startup, healthtech, or AI)
- Strong privacy & security expertise: GDPR, encryption, secure SaaS
- Experience building/scaling regulated software (CE-marked, FDA-ready)
- Knowledge of clinical workflows and interoperability (FHIR, HL7, openEHR)
- Excellent cross-functional communication
- Comfort with startup uncertainty and lean teams
- Minimum 50% commitment (Fractional to Full-time)
- No visa sponsorship available (Remote from Europe)
- Bonus:
- Experience in rare diseases, genomics, or patient registries
- Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines, explainability, model validation
- Understanding of payer, pharma, or CRO use cases
- Experience with federated learning, homomorphic encryption, or differential privacy
