About the role
- Own product strategy, roadmap, and execution for key healthcare AI driven workflows
- Help hospitals and clinics leverage Nextiva’s platform with tight EPIC integrations for scheduling, patient communication, secure messaging, and care coordination
- Develop and harvest product ideas by processing customer and user needs
- Prioritize the feature backlog aligned with business objectives
- Execute, deliver, and drive adoption of products and features
- Act as point person between Business, Development Teams, and UX Teams
- Participate in product planning, UX research, and design
- Work effectively with developer teams, QAs, project managers, and product designers
- Deeply understand healthcare personas: clinicians, IT admins, front-desk staff, and patient support teams
- Define integration patterns with EPIC APIs and partner with Engineering for scalable, secure integrations with EPIC and other EHR systems
- Collaborate with sales, implementation, and customer success to drive adoption and collect feedback
- Define clear user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria with healthcare-specific use cases
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITRUST, and other regulatory requirements in product design
- Manage product initiatives, prioritize dev backlogs, and write clear Jira tickets for developers, designers, and QA
Requirements
- 8+ years experience in a Product Manager role at a technology company
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in the Healthcare industry
- Deep understanding of customer needs, market offerings, competitive position, feature requirements, and business model
- Ability to effectively communicate and manage multiple competing priorities
- Training and presentation experience with stakeholders or coworkers
- Experience working closely with stakeholders to deliver high-profile product features
- Familiarity with packaging products in tiers, user management, tenant provisioning, dashboard reporting, and analytics
- Meticulous attention to detail, which shows throughout your completed Jira tickets and other tasks
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Leadership, ownership, conflict resolution, and accountability
- Experience with EPIC APIs (App Orchard, FHIR, HL7, SMART on FHIR) and EHR integrations
- Knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, and other regulatory requirements in product design
- Ability to write clear and detailed product initiatives, feature/epics, stories, design requests, and bug tickets within Jira
- Bonus Points: Scrum, Kanban, Agile certifications; Experience with agile environments; First-hand QA/QE or software engineering experience; Master’s Degree; Full-stack platform and cloud experience
