About the role

  • Support the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, and sustainment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine system architectures and specifications.
  • Interface with Army stakeholders to ensure systems meet operational and mission requirements.
  • Conduct trade studies, risk assessments, and performance evaluations.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including system design descriptions, interface control documents, and test plans.
  • Participate in configuration management and change control processes.
  • Be responsible for engineering design, development, integration, installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Provide technical support in equipment labs.
  • Support technology insertion testing relative to emerging requirements and capabilities.
  • Provide technical expertise at field locations as needed and travel approximately 25%.

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering (Preferred), Testing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of related system engineering experience.
  • Alternatively, BS may be substituted with an additional 7 years of related experience performing system engineering functions.
  • Experience supporting DoD or Army systems engineering efforts.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle processes (e.g., INCOSE, DoD 5000).
  • Proficiency in tools used for modeling and requirements management platforms.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • DOD Secret Security clearance is required.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Preferred: Relevant certifications (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, PMP, ITIL).
  • Preferred: Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Army acquisition processes and technical standards.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25%.
