About the role

  • Analyze, evaluate, and create IT workflows and processes across the IT department to identify inefficiencies and design improvements.
  • Collect and analyze data using descriptive statistics and process mapping tools; measure performance metrics and track implemented changes.
  • Coach and train IT teammates on Lean Six Sigma and advanced problem-solving methodologies; lead RIE and VSA events.
  • Develop and manage moderate to complex process improvement initiatives, including scope, risk/change management, stakeholder engagement, and performance monitoring.
  • Research, benchmark, and pilot advanced process improvement tools and methodologies; provide reports and adoption recommendations.
  • Deliver comprehensive training programs, provide mentorship, and ensure continuous improvement sustainment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in process improvement, project management or similar role.
  • Advanced Analytical Skills : Proficiency in advanced data analysis techniques to uncover deeper insights and root causes of inefficiencies.
  • Strategic Problem-Solving : Ability to develop and implement strategic solutions for complex process improvement challenges.
  • Communication : Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in writing detailed reports and procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor associate engineers and lead improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in leading moderate to large-scale process improvement events, such as Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) and Value Stream Analysis (VSA) sessions.
  • Project Management : Proficiency in project management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor process improvement initiatives.
  • Lean Six Sigma Expertise : In-depth knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and advanced tools.
  • IT Systems : Comprehensive understanding of IT systems and their integration.
  • Statistical Analysis : Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and software.
  • Stakeholder Management : Ability to manage relationships with stakeholders and ensure their needs are met.
  • Critical Thinking : Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate solutions and make informed decisions.
  • Continuous Improvement : Ability to identify opportunities for ongoing process optimization and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Technologies : MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, MS OneNote, SharePoint, Visual Tools such as Miro or other Process Mapping tools. Proficient in MS Teams and MS Outlook.
  • Preferred certification from accredited agencies in Lean, Continuous Improvement, Process Improvement, TQM, or Six Sigma.
  • Certification in project management methodologies such as PMP (Project Management Professional) is desirable.
