About the role
- Design the next generation of tools and services that empower internal teams across the Infrastructure Platform
- Craft intuitive experiences for engineers and data practitioners to streamline software lifecycle and data workflows
- Design end-to-end experiences for developer platform or data, AI & experimentation platform
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and identify opportunities for improvement
- Advocate for user-centered design principles and educate stakeholders on design value
- Lead design strategy for product initiatives and define/evolve design system
- Own end-to-end design process from concept to launch; craft and validate prototypes
- Establish scalable design practices, scope and negotiate deliverables, mentor fellow designers
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science; facilitate workshops; articulate vision to senior leadership
Requirements
- 10+ years as a Product Designer (or equivalent experience)
- Experience designing data analytics, business intelligence, developer tools, A/B testing tooling, platforms, or other technical products
- Proven track record of leading design initiatives from concept to launch
- Expert in design tools (Figma, etc.) and prototyping technologies
- Strong systems thinking and ability to design scalable solutions for complex infrastructure challenges
- Successfully led design strategy for complex technical products
- Proven track record of influencing and aligning cross-functional partners without direct authority
- Excellence in communicating design decisions to technical audiences
- Demonstrated success in mentoring designers and improving team practices
- Strong ability to work autonomously and drive initiatives independently
- Skill in sequencing and communicating long-term vision through incremental steps
- Experience designing interfaces that abstract complex technical concepts into intuitive user experiences
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers (coding skills not required)
- Experience with AI/ML-enhanced user experiences is a plus
- Strong understanding of software development or data processes, toolchains, and best practices
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation concepts and modern development platforms
