About the role
- Develop and achieve the sales business plan for the business by implementing the strategy, managing total trade spend by category, and achieving agreed shelf, distribution, and promotional targets.
- Analyse, identify, monitor, and address specific issues to achieve Nestle Purina’s goals for sales, commercial spend, share, distribution, and operating budgets.
- Develop and implement trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with the customer.
- Proactively monitor and update the customer's overall business plan, including managing trade budgets, spending, and volume to achieve all sales objectives versus plan.
- Drive pre and post promotion evaluation to increase ROI/ROS.
- Be accountable for the strategic account plan, based on internal objectives, marketing, business development, and shopper marketing plans, as well as external competitive marketplace issues and opportunities.
Requirements
- 3+ years as a sales leader within a Tier 1 CPG company
- Experience business and delivering results with major retailers (preference for Walmart experience)
- Proven track record of successful P&L and trade spend management
- Effective communication, negotiation and strong leadership skills are required to express analytics and deliver presentations to various levels within the organization and externally to customers.
- Ability to work with large and complex data sets to tell powerful stories and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Excel; Competency in Nielsen and Retail Link is an asset.
- Completion of a university degree in Business Administration or any related field.
