About the role

  • Develop and execute regional sales plans aimed at achieving targets for the growth and retention of existing food service customers.
  • Oversee the management and negotiation strategies for all distribution accounts, while cultivating and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance audits to ensure adherence to product and brand quality standards.
  • Manage and engage in effective communication with Sales Representatives, Customer Service, Trade Assets and Equipment teams, National Accounts, Marketing, Finance, and third-party vendors to support customer needs and facilitate new account openings.
  • Collaborate with the sales team across Canada and national accounts to ensure consistent practices and messaging across regions.
  • Leverage deep industry knowledge of key segments, including but not limited to lodging, healthcare, colleges and universities, travel, and grocery, to inform strategies and decision-making.
  • Oversee and ensure data integrity within the CRM tool, building a robust pipeline of opportunities to exceed sales objectives.

Requirements

  • 3 + years within sales and account management, with a proven track record of delivering business results from a Consumer Goods Company
  • Previous experience leading and developing others in a management capacity
  • Post secondary education in Business, any related field or equivalent experience
  • Effective communication, negotiation and strong leadership skills are required to express analytics and deliver presentations to various levels within the organization and externally to customers.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent time and project management while paying attention to detail.
  • Motivation as a self-starter with the ability to think “out of the box” in an effort to secure incremental business opportunities.
