About the role
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives of the factory.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the timely hiring of qualified candidates.
- Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Develop and implement effective performance management systems to drive employee productivity and engagement.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including maintaining accurate employee records and documentation.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop workforce plans.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and fairness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR management and labor relations.
- Negotiate and close long-term settlements with unions, ensuring favorable outcomes for both parties.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and employee satisfaction.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
- Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to monitor and improve HR performance.
- Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience as an HR manager or similar role within a manufacturing environment
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, unions, and management
- Demonstrated experience in successfully negotiating and closing long-term settlements with unions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
