About the role

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business objectives of the factory.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the timely hiring of qualified candidates.
  • Manage employee relations, including handling grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Develop and implement effective performance management systems to drive employee productivity and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, including maintaining accurate employee records and documentation.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop workforce plans.
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and fairness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR management and labor relations.
  • Negotiate and close long-term settlements with unions, ensuring favorable outcomes for both parties.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and employee satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to monitor and improve HR performance.
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and implement strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Proven experience as an HR manager or similar role within a manufacturing environment
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, unions, and management
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully negotiating and closing long-term settlements with unions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
